There are various methods of putting these oils to use but perhaps the most relaxing amongst them is massage. We all have experienced how relaxing a head massage is even with normal oil. Massage can fairly claim to be the oldest form of healing in existence. Touch is both healing and comforting. Every culture throughout history has used massage in some form or other. In India massage is an integral part of healthy living. Ayurveda recommends daily massage to increase metabolism and to maintain the health of the skin. If daily massage cannot be done due to constraint of time and space, atleast application of oil on feet and soles, head and ear is mandatory.
