Agryasangraha
Dr Purnima Vinod BAMS, Dip. in Aromatherapy

To understand this concept we will look at some examples first. The best method to rid oneself of fatigue is by taking a bath. Similarly cigarette smoking is the leading cause of lung cancer. Therefore bathing and cigarette smoking are ‘agrya’ in fatigue removal and causing lung cancer respectively. They could be the primary causes of having a positive or negative impact on one’s well-being. Here it is important to understand that substances belonging to different categories can have an equal impact on the same area of a person.
